This week is the first week that I really wish that I was eligible to win….I {heart} the one Tamron lens I own so very, very much!
Amy and I are guest judging this week and we have a whole panel of our contributors who agreed to help us make the final decision as to who the winners should be. I honestly have no idea how we’ll all pick the Top Ten this week…I’m certain the entries are going to be amazing!
Each of the judges has a special page set up and you can view mine here. You can read up on all kinds of useless and somewhat fascinating facts about each of us (ie. Keli can lick her elbow but Amy and I can touch our tongues to our noses!!) I have several photos that I came up with for this contest on that page, but I was having so much fun with them that I then came up with some new ones for my blog as well…
Entry #1:
a) the Amish hate having their photo taken….so
b) not only would they object to the fact that I took a photo of their feet in the buggy…but
c) they would also object to me having photographed their horse…and
d) they would especially object to me using a PHOTOGRAPHY blog’s logo on their buggy.
But, what they don’t know won’t hurt them and I couldn’t resist the irony. ;)
Entry #2:
Entry #3:
Entry #4:
Actually, now that I see this camera strap…I really wish that I had one for real. How cool is that?!
Entry #5:
You are allowed to enter five (5) photos into your blog post this week…five chances to win the Tamron lens everyone!! Don’t miss out on the fun…
Remember to add our blog button to your post (it can be found in the left-hand sidebar of our site):

And don’t forget to add this wording to your post… “I am submitting this photo into the I Heart Faces logo photo contest. By entering, I am granting I Heart Faces LLC permission to consider my photo for use in the marketing and promotion of their website.”
Without the button and special wording, you won't be eligible to win this week's contest!
Best wishes everyone!

I have two more photos that I want to capture but I just wanted to jump on in and enter right now! It is soo fun!
Ha! Absolutely love the Amish one! Hilarious :D
You crack me up Angie! Thanks for hosting such a fun blog for all of us creative geeks. It's been SO much fun participating and I look forward to 2010!
Love the photos! This is my first attempt at one of your challenges, so I hope the entry I made and put on Mr. Linky is ok. :)
I love the pictures!! I have two done so far, but have another idea I really want to try so I hope my kids will co-operate today so I can do it! :D
Wow is all I can say!!! These are all fantastic! I love the camera strap! I seriously think you should sell those on your site! I would totally buy one!!
So very creative. Happy anniversary month. I love i heart faces.
Last summer while out shooting I passed through some Amish country in Wisconsin. While rounding a corner I came to a scene that took my breath away. A team of horses pulling a plow was stopped on a hillside arching toward me near the edge of the road while the Amish farmer stopped to adjust the harnesses.
The composition and the early dawn light made the shot magic. I slowed, gave him a wave, he tipped his hat.
That moment the mutual respect we shared was worth more to me than a great image. If you have been to my blog you would understand what it took for me to walk away... The Amish are such a wonderful people.
With respect,
Glen
Ha ha! You just had to do that... so now we are not even. You know what that means?? :-) I look like a giant next to you there.
We really do need a camera strap like that!
Often the Amish don't mind as long as their face isn't in the photo and you aren't obnoxious. While in Pennsylvania this summer I receive permission to photograph an Amish farmer raking hay as long as his back was turned.
We live in the middle of the Amish and I rarely take photos of them...but since he was parked right in our front yard, the temptation was too much to resist this time. LOL!
Actually, now that I think about it, our Amish friend was up on our porch talking to my husband at the time so there wasn't anyone in the buggy...it must just be the blanket that they use to keep warm.
Either way, it worked out perfect for the sake of this week's contest. :)
The camera strap one is the coolest! Man, I'm having a really hard time coming up with ideas for mine.
love the bike and the camera strap ones the best, looks like such natural placement
You look like a peanut in that pic with Amy!!! Don't people know that when shooting a petite person, you're always supposed to dutch tilt in the direction that makes them taller??? : )
How can you possibly have enough time to do all is that you do? Is Ohio in some weird time-space continuum thing that other states don't have? Loved the first set of pictures. Love the second set. Now I am ashamed of myself for only creating one set. Of 4. Not even 5. Hrmph. Love that dimples!
You are SO good at all you do!
You inspire me! :)
What great pictures! I'm totally stressing. I want to come up with something totally creative, but the creative juices don't seem to be flowing! Aghh! It's such a fun, fun theme too.
these are all crazy creative! Love the camera strap one!
My advice? Just start going through your photo folders and look at each photo creatively to see if "i ♥ faces" will fit in naturally on it. That's what I did. :) I think I only took one new photo...the rest I just found in my file folders.
I take tons of Amish Animal and buggy photos. They don't mind as long as you don't get them. I'm going to save this post on my iTouch and show our Amish friends what you did! They will love it. They think it's so cool when the English think they are interesting people! Ha-ha. Great idea's!
good idea on the bike one! love them all...
I'm having SO much fun (too much in fact) designing my entries for this week. THANK YOU for allowing 5 entries!
I'm waiting on permission from a couple of people who's children are in some of my photos and then I'll get my post up.....I haven't let myself look at any of the other entries yet- sometimes inspiration can be a good thing - other times it can put you in a box. This is definitely think-outside-of-the-box week!
I'm thinking you may have something there with the camera strap!!
Happy Anniversary!! and thanks for creating such an inspiring place to surf around.
Love the amish photo!! your description made me laugh out loud :)
These are just perfect!! Your photography always inspires me. I've looked at the shot of the kids jumping in front of the "i heart faces" sign a hundred times. I love it! Thank you for a fun week and for "family time" inspiration as well. ;)
these are really cute - i love the amish buggy! (seems i'm always reading a good amish story) and the camera strap - those 2 are my favorites!
and thanks for leaving a comment on my shots with my daughter and the blocks :) i appreciate it!
What fun, creative entries (of course) :-) happy bday to I Heart Faces - y'all rock!
I have to admit I love the horse and buggy photo! There is an Amish community just up the road from us so this is a normal sight except for the I ♥ faces logo!! LOL!
The logo on the camera strap was just perfect!
I had so much fun with this week's theme. You should run it again. The possibilities are endless with this theme!

Happy Birthday girls! I can't believe how big this has become. Totally deserving. :) I'm a little addicted to it. (As most of us are.)
Keep up the fabulous work!
So many fun entries this week. So many entries. I love your Amish wagon, BTW. Enjoy your anniversary month.
As always- love your photos! This week's theme is so fun!
Would you please put me down for three camera straps?? I love your pictures and your creativity. You're awesome as usual!
Your pictures are so creative. Especially love the one with your kids. They seems so excited :)
Your photos are all so interesting. I am especially drawn to the horse and buggy (no pun intended) and the girl w/the camera strap.
The stop sign one is so fun and, of course, love the super cute one of you and Amy! Good times!
