Of them all, I’d have to say that our third child, Wyatt’s, approach is the most unique.
Because that boy takes the position of “Defense” very seriously.
And when I say “seriously” I mean that he is literally going to do everything he can possibly can do to make sure that the person he is defending will not have a chance to get anywhere near the ball.
Even if it means that he’ll not really be playing the game of basketball any longer…
No, I’d have to say that it quickly moves from basketball into a full-blown, old-fashioned wrestling match.
As you can see, both he and the boy he was defending think wrestling is much more fun than basketball.
So while I sit in the stands and alternate between extreme embarrassment, hysterical laughter and trying to keep myself from screaming “Wyatt STOP IT RIGHT NOW!”…
He has grand fun playing the game of basketball.
Errr….I mean he enjoys playing the game of wrestling…while not playing basketball.
You know what I mean.

Gotta love boys!!! What a cutie. : )
HA! this is exactly how the boys brush their teeth together at our house. On the D! this is hilarious!
What an amazing series of photographs. Wyatt is going to LOVE these when he is older. You really captured his sports personality here!

I remember when my middle son was little and just getting into basketball I kept uttering the words "basketball is not a contact sport"...girl, was I ever wrong LOL Great pictures!!
Well at least they are smiling and laughing :) But yeah, I think he would be called for a foul for that.
What cute shirts!

LOL! Too funny! But, at least he's having fun.... :)
That's definitely boys for you. I have to say I experience that on a daily basis and it drives me crazy more days than not.
We did basketball this winter too. Pictures in the gym always come out horrible with the lights though-I'll have to try and change them to black and white and see if they turn out a little better.
Nice article,
Keep posting stuff like this i really like it.
God Bless you.
Ha! Now THAT's what I call a great capture, as well as evidence for down the road. You know, when he goes all "I was a perfect kid" on you. ;<) And oh my word.. what amazing giveaways over at IHF... wowie! You guys just keep getting better and better....
I so remember those days - enjoy these photo ops before Wyatt does get too serious about the game.
I wish I had taken photos of my boy. He looked like Tigger out on the court. All he did was just bounce up and down during the game. I remember thinking "c'mon Danny, stop bouncing and be ready to get the ball if it comes your way". Now I wish I had those "bouncing" days back - so funny.
This is SO funny! I read it on my phone the other day and showed my coworkers :) They thought the kids were SO cute! : )
How are you loving your new camera? : )
nice post. thanks.
